Meet Tisha.  This is Tisha on her second day of CrossFit back in December.  We got a very nice e-mail from Tisha this morning.

Hi Jeremy and Nicole, when I first walked into CrossFit in Dec I did not think that I would be able to get in shape to complete any of the exercises. I definitely felt defeated each time I left but I am improving now and feel much better. However, my goal was to not get taped (waist measurement) for SPRING 2009 PT. I have been getting taped since 2006 and thought that my age had a lot to do with my weight gain and there was nothing that I could do about it. Watching you guys motivate and compete made me want to do better. Well today was the official weigh-in and I made weight. I am so happy, this is the first time in a long time
that I was not embarrassed during weigh-ins by getting taped. I want to thank both of you for motivating me to reach my goal. I surely have more weight to loose but today was a good day!!!! I started at 168lbs and now at 152lbs, I am on my way. Thank You, you both are definitely the best!!! 🙂

We love getting letters like this.  We see the changes (both in physical appearances, but more importantly in performance) in all of you.  It makes us so happy when you recognize it.  While we appreciate the accolades, we are not the ones who make the changes happen; you guys make it happen by giving 100% intensity in the box every time you’re there.  We give you guys a lot to think about when it comes to a healthy lifestyle.  It’s easy to present the info, it’s much harder to make it a reality–that’s all on  your shoulders.  Congrats to Tisha.  Her dedication and hard work are evident.  She is quiet and reserved in the gym…right up until the point we say “3,2,1 GO,”  then she’s a completely different person–driven to better herself, challenging what she thought was possible, proving herself everyday.  We couldn’t be prouder.

We’ve got a few more of these to share with you this week.  Plus, Kevin’s first update is rapidly approaching–standby for that.
Finally, I’m diggin’ the trash talk in the comments.  The scans are rolling in and the teams are piling up.  The prizes are lucrative, but the ultimate prize and incentive is your health.  Keep up the smack (I think Sandi is ready to throw down).  As the May 15th start date nears, we’ll re-post some of the more important Paleo, Zone and CrossFit articles that may help re-focus you for the competition.
Till then, check out another great food post by CF Balboa.
LIVE STRONG!!
