“I started doing cross fit in mid April of this year. I had been going to the YMCA for a couple of years, running on the treadmill for my allotted 30 minutes about 4 times a week, and then doing some weights a few days a week. I mixed some swimming in there as well as a few classes and biking, but none of it ever seemed to be doing me any good. Rick and I were at Subway one day and saw these people walking around the parking lot with medicine balls held over their heads, so Rick dragged me next door to go check it out. Nicole was there and told us all about CrossFit. We had never head about it before, but Rick was definitely interested. So a few Saturdays later Rick dragged me to the fundamentals class. I thought that it was interesting but I was not sold. However, we decided to try it out and I would never turn back! It is crazy how much more worked out I feel after a 10 minute CrossFit workout than I ever did running on the treadmill for 30 minutes or more. I think that I was sore for about a month straight when I first started. I constantly feel like I am improving, and I am excited about some of the weights that I have been able to lift, and proud of myself for some of the workouts that I have been able to finish. Although I have not kept track of my weight and measurements as well as some other have, I do know that I have lost about 18 pounds since I started, and most of my clothes have gotten really baggy. I definitely look forward to future progress at CrossFit HR, and I am thrilled that I already feel better about wearing my wedding dress in April. Thanks for all of your support!”
