We are proud to announce that starting in Dec, we’ll have a new neighbor in the CFHR Facility.  Ribeiro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Hampton Roads (RJJ Hampton Roads) will move into the space adjoining the open gym.  Renovation starts soon.  RJJ Hampton Roads is owned and operated by Black Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Ben Eaton.  Ben has been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1997.  In 2000, Ben began a friendship with 6-time World Jiu-Jitsu Champion, 2-time Abu Dhabi Submission Grappling World Champion Saulo Ribeiro and his younger brother (multiple time World Champion) Alexandre “Xande” Ribeiro.

In 2005 Ben established Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu South Bend, becoming the only  RJJ affiliate in Indiana.  In 2009 Ben, received the honor of becoming the 6th American to be promoted to the rank of black belt by Saulo Ribeiro.  In September 2010, Ben relocated to Newport News with his wife, Heidi, who is currently serving active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu Hampton Roads will offer a full schedule of adult and children classes.
Ben has a hands-on, passionate, detail-oriented teaching style that makes every student feel like they are getting a private lesson.  His main goal is to not just pass on the techniques of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but also the “BJJ lifestyle.”

Visit rjjhamptonroads.com for further info and to contact Ben directly.  Family rates and discounts for Law Enforcement/ Fire/ EMS and Crossfit Hampton Roads athletes will be offered!

Will the real Nicole please stand up?!
Thank you to the CFHR and CrossFitOP athletes who participated in the Barbells For Boobs Fundraiser WOD and the Halloween party. We are so lucky to have such a close family supportive, motivated, and after seeing some of the costumes, slightly demented athletes. Together, we raised $395 for Mammograms in Action and breast cancer awareness. Here’s a link to the first batch of photos: with more to come shortly!   PICTURES!!!!!
