ALAN L. CFHR’S DECEMBER ATHLETE OF THE MONTH!

CONGRATS ALAN! Big Bad Alan truly epitomizes the heart AND mind of an Athlete. He has balanced stress, injury and a life changing venture into Health and Wellness. Alan is constantly pointing out websites, articles and deals on nutrition to us. He studies and he applies what we teach and what he has learned. He has started experimenting to find the exact balance of food that makes him feel and perform best. The thing that has most impressed us about Alan (besides his huge gains in performance) is his Athletic maturity. Alan proactively started taking an extra day off from WODs each week to come in and only work on skills and stretch. Since starting that, his performance has skyrocketed and his injuries are healing.

This next one is a little more scientific, but AWESOME nonetheless. This blog (PaNU) by Kurt G. Harris, MD is quickly becoming one of my favorites. This particular post outlines an exchange between him and the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF). WAPF has some great resources for local produce and clean meats, but their soft stance on gluten has sent Dr. Harris over the edge. He has some VERY VERY good info in here that highlights just why gluten is harmful for every human.
